original postal system was established. Benjamin Franklin created a new way for

printing press to make mass copies, the postal system developed to spread news

information was the Erie Canal. With the building of “Clinton’s Ditch” as it was known
the state of New York now had a fast way to spread not only goods and people, but
information as well from the Atlantic Coast to the Midwest. The Erie Canal was the 19th

be accomplished when information can be passed along a network in an accelerated
way. These systems of transferring news and information were highly developed for

highway as early as the 1700s, and have been using it as a critical building block of their
